The Semien Mountain

The semien mountain commonly known as the Roof of Africa, constitute the major mountains massifs in Africa. The region includes many summits above 400 meters and culminates in the highest point in Ethiopia, Ras Dashen , 4620 meter and the forth highest mountain in Africa, its registered as a world Heritage site by UNESCO.

Hiking in the semien Mountains offer a great opportunity to see varied flora and endemic mammals like the Walia Ibex, which is found excusively in this park, the Gelada Baboon. And the semien fox.


The Bale Mountains

The bale mountain rise forms the extensive surrounding farm lands at 2,500 meters above sea level to the west, noerh and east , the national parks area is divided in to two major parts by the spectacular Herenna escapement that runs from east to west. As you ascend in to the mountains you will experience changes moorland and alpine meadows, which at various times of the year exhibit an abundance of colorful wild flowers. The mountain are also famous home and refuge of the endemic Mountain Niyala, Menelik Bush Buck, and the Ethiopian Wolf.
